Summer is on the horizon people! Get ready for the summer festival season with two great festivals this summer presented by Empire Touring & TEG Live.
Iconic mainstay festival Sunset Sounds will be making its glorious return to Roche Estate in the idyllic Hunter Valley, set to take over the exquisite winery on November 20. Then on the following weekend, they intend to delight music lovers at Hastings Foreshore Reserve in Victoria.
Hunter Valley
At Roche Estate, the festival features an impressive line-up of some of the country’s most prized singer songwriters - XAVIER RUDD, PETE MURRAY, KASEY CHAMBERS, JOSH PYKE, BEN LEE, THE BEAUTIFUL GIRLS, KYLE LIONHART and CHARLIE COLLINS.
Excited to be headlining Sunset Sounds, XAVIER RUDD says, “I’m stoked to join the line-up for Sunset Sounds festival on Wonnarua Country (Hunter Valley) and to share some new music on stage. It’s an exciting time for people, a time to reset, a time for gratitude, a time to remember how lucky we are that we can celebrate life, love, music etc so freely in this magical country that we get to call home. And it's been a very long time since I’ve been to the Mornington Peninsula and I’m stoked to be traveling there for Sunset Sounds festival. This is gonna be special day on magical Bunurong country, let's light it up!! Can’t wait!”
PETE MURRAY’s thrilled to join the stellar all-Aussie bill, enthusing, “The last time I remember sharing the same stage with Xavier Rudd was in 2004 so I’m very excited to be doing this again with him & of course the other amazing Aussie artists on the bill”.
“Looking forward to bringing some live music back with my fellow musicians for Sunset Sounds,” adds KASEY CHAMBERS.
Hastings Foreshore
Victoria will now also be getting in on the action, with the Sunset Sounds festival set to thrill Hastings Foreshore Reserve on November 28, featuring an all-star lineup; XAVIER RUDD, PETE MURRAY, KASEY CHAMBERS, JOSH PYKE, BEN LEE, THE CHURCH, KYLE LIONHART and D’ARCY SPILLER.
The man doing more than his bit to encourage the return of live music here in Australia is Empire’s Marc Christowski, who says, “We are thrilled to bring together a lineup of some of Australia’s most awesome live acts. What can be better than kicking back watching the likes of Xavier, Pete and Kasey?”
2020 was a write off for live music and festivals. Don’t miss out on this festival – if you’re in NSW, head to Roche Estate, and for the Victorians, head to Hastings Foreshore Reserve. If you missed going to festivals, dancing in the sun to the beat of the music with your friends, then be ready for what’s coming.
Sunset Sounds have said that they will hold these festivals with a commitment to a COVID Safe environment. Festival organisers intend to work closely with and comply with all requirements of the public health authorities. If the show is required to be postponed, a postponement date will be announced and punters will be eligible for a full refund if they are unable to make the new date.
