First New Music in Almost a Decade!

“I feel like we’re in a unique period in history where instead of our world leaders saying ‘we’re doing our best’ it’s more like they’re saying ‘fuck it’ and its really scary.” - Dexter Holland

They haven’t released any new music in almost a decade, so you can be forgiven for thinking THE OFFSPRING have hung up their boots after almost 40 years of innovation on the Southern California punk rock scene. What you might not know is that THE OFFSPRING have been wildly and consistently active on the live stage, playing more than 500 shows in the last decade alone. They have sold more than 40 million albums worldwide, won countless awards, and their music has stood the test of time shaping film, television and video games across the globe… but it’s not over yet. The band turned their focus to a new album release in 2021, kicking off the year with the release of the title track Let The Bad Times Roll.

The new music was written and recorded over the course of the last several years at various locations including the band’s Huntington Beach, California studio. The album is the band’s third time working in collaboration with legendary rock producer Bob Rock.

During this tumultuous time in our world’s history, things can be very scary and confusing to navigate. Art and music are often the most profound mediums where a historical moment can be captured in time, giving a voice to the people and helping us make sense of the nonsense or at least understand that we’re not alone. True to the irreverence at the core of punk rock music, THE OFFSPRING offer a socio-cultural perspective of what’s going on and they don’t shy away from making their voices heard, taking the opportunity to create topical material and making it timeless.

As guitarist Noodles said: “Folks are saying, if it’s all going to Hell, we might as well make the most out of it, or at least go out swinging. ‘Let The Bad Times Roll!’"

Let The Bad Times Roll will be available on Concord Records April 16, 2021
